The emphasis of the weekend is on training and where applicable testing will be carried out. The training content of the weekend has altered this year in light of the changes within the British Canoe Union. This year we will be offering BCU Paddlepower as well as Star Tests, Canoe Safety Test as well as Level 2 Kayak Assessment (old scheme) and BCU Bellboat Helm Award. British Canoe Union aspirant assessors are welcome to apply to help run the Canoe Safety Test Kayak and Open Canoe and Level 2 Kayak Coach assessment courses, working alongside the Regional Coaching Officer for the North West and other assessors.
